You got to be Ginseng-ing me!!

Ginseng is known for its health benefits. In skincare, it has been used in the East for centuries. It is an amazing complexion booster. People in Korea used it for beauty rituals. Ginseng has been used for centuries. It is studied for anti-aging and skin lightening. Research also covers sensitive and oily skin.

Ginseng balances skin naturally. It works with any skin type. It is used as an anti-aging cream. It improves circulation in skin's blood vessels. This aids in collagen synthesis. This process helps firm your skin. One study examined anti-aging activity. It used skin cells and human skin. Ginseng was applied for comparison. Results showed improvements in skin roughness. "The total roughness, maximum roughness, smoothness depth, average roughness, smoothness depth" (Hwang 2016) improved. Ginseng reduced moisture loss. Ginseng can "prevent aging by inhibiting wrinkle formation. It increases moisture in the human skin" (Hwang 2016).

Ginseng helps with skin color issues. Some people have hyperpigmentation. Studies show ginseng's potential for skin lightening. This is still controversial. More studies are needed. One study found it affected "proinflammatory cytokines and nitric oxide" (Kwangmi, 2015). We believe ginseng helps with skin whitening. It has been used for centuries for similar purposes. People in the study noticed visible skin brightening.

Ginseng's antioxidants help oily skin. They balance oil production. Ginseng has natural anti-inflammatory properties. It aids in reducing redness and puffiness. One study applied ginseng to eczema skin cells. It reduced inflammation caused by the disorder. These properties help sensitive skin. They also help conditions like acne and psoriasis. Oily skin and clogged pores can cause acne. A ginseng skin cream balances oil production. It will also help clear your skin. Psoriasis occurs when skin cells reproduce too quickly. This forms scales and patches. Skin becomes red, dry, itchy, and painful. Ginseng's anti-inflammatory properties can help. They reduce skin redness and inflammation.

Today, ginseng is becoming more prevalent in the skin care industry. Studies are emerging in support of the use of ginseng for various skin types, with certain skin disorders. This is why it is important to make   ginseng an important part of your skin care regiment.
