Lip Care Tips

Lip Care Tips

By: Kathryn Fleischer

Even though we are slowly making our way into the summer, some of us suffer from dry lips and chapped lips all year long. Here are three major lip care tips to help you have soft lips no matter what the season or climate.

Hydrate!

The foundation of a good lip care routine to prevent dry mouth and lips is to ensure that your skin and lips stay hydrated. A great way to get started is by ensuring that you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. There are a number of studies that suggest the key to preventing cracked lips and keeping skin smooth starts with healthy habits.

Lip balm is a necessity for lip care and fixing chapped lips. This can be done by following a few great tips or by reapplying lip regularly throughout the day to keep your lips feeling soft and hydrated.

Moisturize!

It’s no surprise that the next major step in preventing crusty lips is finding a hydrating lip balm. Thentix, A Touch of Honey, not only carries skincare, but also a premium shea butter lip balm to help prevent dryness around mouth. If you are inside and notice that the heaters are drying your lips, despite being hydrated, it’s time to moisturize. Or if you’re outside in the cold, it’s important to moisturize and keep your lips feeling soft.

Our natural lip balm is made with honey and beeswax to make it effective at taking care of dry lips. You can use it as a dry lips treatment overnight to help soften and hydrate dry lips.

Moisturize Again!

Our last tip, is to keep moisturising! It’s important to keep up a good lip care routine, and not just be reactive. If you are continuously moisturizing your lips even when they don’t feel dry, you can keep up with and maintain healthy looking lips all year round. We might be a little biased, but we think that Thentix, A Touch of Honey Lip Balm is the best lip balm for the job!

We hope these three major lip care tips will help you go from dry crusty lips to soft lips in no time!
